Our Story
Feathers Community Forum was born out of the desire to create a platform where people, purpose, and progress come together. The forum was founded by Anand Kumar Kali, a former Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer who devoted his career to forest management, biodiversity conservation, and public service. Drawing upon his extensive experience in the Indian Forest Service, he envisioned Forum Feathers as a space where expertise, practical experience, and community participation could come together to address contemporary environmental challenges. Under his leadership, the forum encourages discussions on forest governance, wildlife conservation, climate resilience, ecological restoration, environmental laws, and sustainable livelihoods. It also supports the exchange of ideas between policymakers, academicians, civil servants, environmental practitioners, and young professionals.In many communities, talent exists but opportunities are limited, needs are visible but support systems are weak, and cultural values are fading under the pressure of change. Feathers Community Forum was created to respond to these realities.
We are building a forum where entrepreneurship is nurtured, skills are strengthened, opportunities are shared, vulnerable groups are supported, the environment is protected, citizens are informed and empowered, and heritage is preserved with pride. Our work is rooted in the understanding that real transformation happens when people are connected, equipped, and inspired to act together.
